Meet your Doula

Hi, I’m Lily!
I’m a Portland native, a mom of two, and someone who is wildly in love with the messy, tender, life changing season that is postpartum. I’m a postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor, and newborn care specialist, and I truly cannot imagine doing anything else.
Like a lot of doulas, I found this work because I needed it first. After my first baby was born, I struggled with postpartum depression. It was disorienting and lonely and not at all the glowing new motherhood story I thought I was supposed to have. That season showed me how deeply parents need care, not just the baby. It lit something in me. I wanted to be the steady, warm, competent presence I wish I had during those early weeks.
Before becoming a doula, I spent six years in early childhood education as an infant teacher while earning my degree in Early Childhood Education. I even stepped into a daycare director role for a while, which means I am very skilled at leadership, organization, and calmly solving chaos before my coffee kicks in. Eventually I moved into nannying, where I got to build deeper, more personal relationships with families. That one on one time sealed it for me. I did not just want to care for babies. I wanted to care for parents, too.
Now I bring all of that experience into your home. Infant care, early education, emotional support, lactation guidance, and a whole lot of reassurance at 3 a.m. I hold space for families in a way that is personal, gentle, and grounded in real life.
My approach is simple. I meet you exactly where you are. No judgment. No rigid rules. No one size fits all advice. Just thoughtful, evidence based support tailored to your family. That might look like helping with feeding, troubleshooting latch issues, folding a mountain of tiny laundry, holding your baby so you can shower in peace, or sitting with you while you process everything you are feeling. All of it is welcome here.
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in community and equity. Postpartum care should not be a luxury. Too many families, especially those in marginalized communities, are left to figure it out alone. I am committed to making support more accessible and rooted in justice, empathy, and respect.
When I am not supporting families, you will probably find me stitching an embroidery project, wandering the library with my kids, or fully invested in Bravo TV drama. I contain multitudes.
I would be honored to walk alongside you and your family in this season.
